Job Title: Civil / Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of buildings, structures, and associated facilities.
Repair cracks, damaged walls, ceilings, floors, tiles, doors, windows, and other building components.
Perform minor masonry, plastering, painting, tiling, carpentry, and general building repair works.
Identify structural defects, water seepage, dampness, leaks, and other building maintenance issues, and report major concerns to the supervisor.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure buildings remain safe, functional, and presentable.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complaints from occupants, clients, and facility users.
Inspect roofs, drainage channels, walkways, fences, and other external building structures, and carry out necessary repairs.
Assist with renovation, refurbishment, and minor construction projects as assigned.
Measure work areas, estimate material requirements, and prepare requests for building maintenance materials and supplies.
Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
Maintain records of inspections, repairs, materials used, and outstanding maintenance issues.
Coordinate with plumbers, electricians, ELV technicians, contractors, and other maintenance personnel when carrying out building repairs.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed to acceptable quality standards and within agreed timelines.
Observe health and safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain safe work areas.
Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance activities.
Report major defects, recurring building problems, and repairs requiring specialist attention to the supervisor.
Perform other civil, building, and general maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
SalaryN300,000 - N400,000 monthly.
