Credit Assessment Trainee

Primary duties and responsibilities:


Establish and manage a personal loan portfolio
Engage in direct promotion and various marketing activities on a regular basis
Assess prospect eligibility, initiate loan applications, and arrange client meetings
Perform loan analyses by visiting clients' businesses and households, as well as guarantors' businesses/employers, and prepare comprehensive loan assessments in accordance with the bank's credit procedures
Submit loan proposals to the credit committee and inform clients of the committee's decisions
Coordinate loan disbursements in collaboration with Back Office and clients
Ensure timely repayments by monitoring loans using the bank's software (myMBS) and contacting all relevant parties as needed
Maintain high quality standards for the bank's credit portfolio
Actively participate in committees and group discussions, seek solutions to group challenges, proactively pursue improvements, and align personal objectives with ABN's goals.


Candidate profile:


Minimum educational qualification of B.Sc./HND
At least one year of post-NYSC experience in a related field
Fundamental knowledge of financial mathematics & Accounting
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with mobile applications
Detail-oriented and goal-driven
Strong team player
Self-motivated and industrious individuals who enjoy working outdoors
Capability to disburse small and medium-sized loans to MICRO BUSINESSES
