About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and innovative Head of Nursery School to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Nursery section.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, effective curriculum implementation, staff supervision, child welfare, and the overall management of the Nursery School.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of Early Years education, and a genuine passion for nurturing young learners in a safe and stimulating environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for the Nursery School.
Oversee the planning and implementation of the Early Years curriculum.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Nursery teachers and support staff.
Monitor teaching standards and pupils' academic and developmental progress.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Promote children's welfare, safeguarding, health, and safety.
Develop and implement academic improvement initiatives.
Foster positive relationships with parents through effective communication and engagement.
Coordinate staff training and professional development programmes.
Oversee admissions, timetables, classroom resources, and daily school operations.
Organize school events, assessments, and extracurricular activities.
Prepare academic and administrative reports for management.
Ensure compliance with educational regulations and school policies.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related discipline.
A Master's Degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a Nursery or Early Years setting.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian and/or British Early Years curriculum.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational management systems.
