About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of Primary School to provide academic and administrative leadership for the Primary section.
The successful candidate will drive academic excellence, promote outstanding teaching and learning, lead staff development, and ensure the effective day-to-day management of the Primary School.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership capabilities, strong curriculum knowledge, and a proven ability to inspire both staff and pupils.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership for the Primary School.
Ensure effective planning and implementation of the school's curriculum.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Primary School teachers.
Monitor pupils' academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom management.
Promote pupil discipline, welfare, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
Develop and implement school improvement initiatives.
Coordinate assessments, examinations, and academic reporting.
Foster strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders.
Lead staff development, mentoring, and performance management.
Oversee admissions, timetables, extracurricular programmes, and school events.
Manage school resources efficiently.
Prepare academic and administrative reports for management.
Ensure compliance with educational standards, policies, and regulations.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Education or a related discipline.
A Master's Degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 7 years' teaching experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership position within a Primary School.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian and/or British curriculum.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational management systems.
