Job Title: Inventory Officer
Location: Nigeria - Dangote Petrochemicals (DPRP)
Reports To: Head, PPU Packing Plant Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure the availability of materials and products. The role oversees stock movements, conducts inventory reconciliations, supports stock audits, and ensures compliance with company procedures to achieve efficient inventory management and minimize stock discrepancies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records. Receive, issue, and record stock movements promptly. Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations. Investigate and report stock variances or discrepancies. Update inventory data and prepare inventory reports. Ensure proper storage and identification of materials. Support internal and external stock audits. Coordinate with warehouse, production, and dispatch teams on stock requirements. Maintain compliance with inventory control procedures and HSE standards. Ensure good housekeeping within inventory storage areas.
Education and Work Experience
Education: Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Work Experience: 2–4 years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or stock management. Experience in stock reconciliation, auditing, and inventory reporting is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems (ERP is an advantage). Strong understanding of inventory control principles and procedures.
