We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer III to lead process engineering design activities and provide technical oversight during Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering phases of capital projects.
The successful candidate will lead engineering teams, oversee technical deliverables, drive process optimisation, and ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and operational safety requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and guide junior engineers in developing process design specifications, including heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, equipment design, hydraulic and utility balances, process control and instrumentation requirements, materials selection, and safety facilities.
Lead process optimisation studies to identify cost-saving opportunities, evaluate alternative process configurations, and improve operational efficiency.
Provide technical oversight of engineering contractors' deliverables during FEED and detailed engineering to ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and owner requirements.
Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews for new, modified, and existing facilities.
Provide commissioning and start-up support for new or modified facilities as required.
Support the establishment of process engineering team structures and staffing requirements.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience in petroleum refining, the chemical process industry, or with an engineering contractor serving these industries.
Demonstrated experience in capital project development.
Strong technical knowledge of process design, engineering specifications, and process optimisation.
Ability to lead engineering teams and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, particularly in technical and business contexts.
