Description
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Nurse to provide basic healthcare support, health monitoring and first-aid services to pupils and staff while promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide appropriate first-aid and basic nursing care to pupils and staff.
Assess and respond appropriately to minor illnesses and injuries.
Maintain accurate health and medical records in accordance with school procedures.
Monitor pupils who become unwell during school hours.
Communicate health concerns to parents or guardians through the appropriate channels.
Support health education and hygiene awareness within the school.
Monitor the school's first-aid supplies and health-related materials.
Maintain a clean and organised sick bay or healthcare area.
Escalate serious medical concerns to parents, guardians or appropriate healthcare providers.
Support the school in implementing appropriate health and safety procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife with relevant professional registration and a valid practising status.
Relevant nursing qualification from a recognised institution.
Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
Good knowledge of first aid and basic emergency response.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, calm and professional approach.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
