We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Shop Cashier
Location: Agege, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (In person)
Core Responsibilities
Product Expertise: Maintain a working knowledge of all products and product solutions offered within the outlet.
Process Transactions: Scan and bag items, calculate total cost, process payments (cash, bank transfer, etc.), and issue receipts.
Cash Handling: Accurately make change, balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts, and maintain adequate denominations of change.
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions about products or services, provide product recommendations, and handle complaints or issues professionally.
General Store Operations: Assist with other tasks as needed, such as restocking shelves, managing inventory, or tidying the store; receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of new shipments;
Promotions and Programs: Inform customers about loyalty programs, discounts, and special offers;
Returns and Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges according to company policy;
Environmental Sanitation: Keep the checkout area clean and organized; maintain clean and tidy shop space by sweeping and mopping the shop floor; dust countertops, furniture, products on display shelves; empty trash cans; report deficiencies or required repairs to shop supervisor;
Others: Performing any other related tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of an OND in any discipline;
Minimum of 1 year proven experience as a retail cashier or similar role in sales.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail;
Experience with POS systems and cash handling is often preferred;
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
Honesty, reliability, and a positive attitude;
Preference for applicant resident in (or close to) Old Abeokuta Road, Agege;
Must be adaptable to corporate governance.
Pay
Up to N100,000.00 per month.
