Job Title: Tax Accountant
Location: Oghara, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.)
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
Liaise with tax authorities (e.g., Federal Inland Revenue Service, State Internal Revenue Services)
Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise Management accordingly
Conduct tax planning and optimization to minimize liabilities
Handle tax audits, queries, and reconciliations
Maintain proper documentation of all tax transactions
Support financial reporting and audit processes
RequirementsMinimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (ICAN / ACCA) is mandatory.
3–5 years’ experience in tax accounting.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and compliance requirements.
Experience dealing with regulatory authorities.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong integrity and confidentiality
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
