Position Overview


TAAS Group of Schools is seeking an experienced and passionate Civic Education / National Values / History / Government Teacher to join our academic team.
The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and a proven track record of nurturing students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities


Teach Civic Education, National Values, History, and Government in alignment with the school curriculum and national standards.
Prepare engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids to meet diverse learning needs.
Foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and strong moral values in students.
Maintain discipline, encourage participation, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
Assess students’ performance through tests, assignments, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to support students’ academic and social development.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
Uphold the school’s vision, mission, and values.


Requirements


Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Political Science, History, Social Studies, or related fields.
5 – 10 years teaching experience in Civic Education, National Values, History, and/or Government.
Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or close to the Apata region for easy accessibility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
Familiarity with WAEC/NECO curricula is an added advantage.
Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
