About the Role
We are lookng for an experienced Farm Manager to oversee daily farm operations, staff, stock, sales, cash, records, and general farm efficiency.
The Manager will report directly to the Farm Directors.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily farm operations, including poultry, feed/store, drugs, greenhouse, and other activities.
Assign duties and monitor staff attendance, conduct, and performance.
Monitor feeding, production, harvesting, cleaning, maintenance, and livestock care.
Monitor all stock entering and leaving the farm and maintain accurate records.
Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies, losses, or wastage.
Ensure all sales, payments, waste, disposals, and stock movements are properly documented.
Supervise the Farm Clerk and verify receipt books, registers, and daily records.
Reconcile sales, receipts, stock movement, and cash with the Clerk daily.
Review and sign off daily records and report discrepancies to the Directors.
Conduct surprise checks and enforce farm rules and procedures.
Address minor staff issues and escalate serious matters to the Directors.
Ensure farm equipment, facilities, and livestock are properly maintained.
Daily Closing:Before the farm is locked, ensure:
All sales are receipted.
Stock movements are recorded.
Cash and receipts are reconciled.
Waste or losses are documented.
The Clerk’s records are complete.
Daily records are reviewed and signed.
RequirementsExperience managing a farm, agricultural operation, warehouse, or similar environment.
Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
High integrity and accountability.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and work with basic figures.
Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
Basic computer literacy is an advantage.
Knowledge of poultry, livestock, or crop production is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
N180,000 / month during the 3-month probation period.
N200,000/month after successful completion.
