Our client is looking to employ an internal auditor. The internal auditor will support the audit functions by reviewing financial records, operational processes, and internal controls across hospitality operations. The role ensures compliance, safeguards assets, and promotes efficiency within the hotel, food & beverage, and event management units.
Assist in carrying out internal audits across hotel operations, F&B outlets, events, and recreational facilities. Review daily revenue reports, POS transactions, cash handling, and bank reconciliations. Participate in cash counts, stock counts, inventory audits, and fixed asset verification. Support evaluation of internal controls and identify operational or financial control gaps. Assist in reviewing procurement processes, vendor payments, and contract compliance. Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and hospitality best practices. Document audit working papers, findings, and supporting evidence accurately. Assist in preparing audit reports and monitoring implementation of recommendations. Support management during external audits and regulatory reviews. Carry out other audit and compliance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 2-4 years of relevant experience (NYSC experience acceptable). Basic knowledge of hospitality operations, POS systems, and revenue control is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics. Good communication and report-writing skills. Willingness to work on-site in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
