Job Title: Optometrist
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
Diagnose refractive errors and common eye conditions.
Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and other optical aids as appropriate.
Provide patient counselling on eye health, vision care, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
Operate and maintain optometric equipment according to standard procedures.
Collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Adhere strictly to professional ethics, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards.
Contribute to quality improvement and smooth clinic operations.
QualificationsDoctor of Optometry (OD) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license/registration with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN).
Previous clinical experience in an optometry or eye care setting is preferred.
NYSC certificate (completed) is an added advantage.
Requirements & Skills:Strong clinical knowledge of optometry and eye care procedures.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good patient-handling skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage patient flow efficiently.
