The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria. We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: Payroll / Tax & Compliance Accountant

Location: Lagos  Job Description

We are hiring an experienced payroll, tax and compliance accountant to ensure accurate and timely payroll, payroll-related taxes, statutory remittances and compliance documentation for offshore and onshore project personnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare accurate monthly payroll for project personnel, including salaries, offshore allowances, rotations, overtime, bonuses, deductions and approved adjustments. Validate employee master data, timesheets, offshore days, leave, overtime and other payroll inputs before processing. Ensure payroll approvals follow the appropriate authority levels and segregation-of-duties requirements. Calculate and coordinate timely remittance of PAYE and other applicable statutory deductions arising from project payroll. Coordinate pension, NSITF, NHF and other applicable statutory deductions and remittances. Support payroll and tax administration for expatriate and other non-resident personnel where applicable. Coordinate required payroll, tax and supporting documentation with HR, tax advisers and relevant authorities. Prepare payroll, tax and statutory compliance reports for management. Support tax, payroll and statutory audits and provide complete documentation within agreed timelines. Maintain proper records, supporting documentation and audit trails for activities under the position. Comply with approved financial controls, delegated authorities, project procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Required Skills, Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline. ACA, ACCA, CITN or equivalent qualification is a must have. 5–8 years’ relevant payroll, tax and statutory compliance experience, preferably in oil and gas, offshore, marine or project operations. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems capability. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Integrity, confidentiality, professional discipline and sound judgement. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
