Sun Books Implementation Manager (Re-advertised)

Position Summary


The Sun Books Implementation Manager will lead the execution of our Sun Books Project in Nigeria.
This role focuses on ensuring effective implementation of the Sun Books project through optimal utilization of literacy resources in all participating schools.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about improving literacy among educators and children in underserved communities.


Primary Responsibilities

Sun Books Project Execution:


Efficiently implement the Sun Books Project across all participating schools.
Oversee teachers and students in their use of literacy resources.
Conduct and assist in literacy instruction using structured resources and curriculum
Facilitate literacy sessions with students during free periods
Ensure a positive project experience for participating teachers and learners.


Performance Monitoring & Impact Assessment:


Track and evaluate project impact on teachers and students, ensuring alignment with WLF's impact objectives.
Monitor teachers' and learners' progress through regular assessments to identify literacy needs and optimize program effectiveness.
Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports to the Project Lead and Global Program Manager on program outcomes.


Required Qualifications & Experience


Exceptional written and verbal English proficiency.
Comprehensive knowledge of TESOL and literacy instruction.
Demonstrated experience in managing literacy initiatives.
Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee literacy programs.
Experience teaching literacy to disadvantaged and marginalized children.
Background in training teachers on effective literacy instruction in low-income areas
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with teachers, school administrators, and leaders.
Outstanding communication skills, including public speaking and relationship-building abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to track program impact across schools.
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global non-profit setting.
