About the Role
Redex Food Pack is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven Account Officer to join our Finance & Accounts team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, inventory accountability, cash flow management, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and general ledger.
Record daily financial transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
Develop and maintain product costing and cost-per-unit analysis.
Monitor production costs, raw material usage, wastage, and cost variances.
Track inventory movements and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations.
Support payroll preparation by validating attendance, deductions, and staff costs.
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, cash flow reports, balance sheets, and management reports.
Ensure timely compliance with all statutory obligations, including VAT, PAYE, and other regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Production, Procurement, Operations, and HR to improve financial efficiency and operational performance.
Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
RequirementsHND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ACA) is an added advantage.
2-3 years Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
