Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound financial knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting processes effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
Handle payroll processing and monitor financial transactions.
Conduct financial analysis and provide management with insights and recommendations.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Monitor budgets and cash flow activities.
Supervise and support accounting staff where applicable.
Ensure timely filing of taxes and statutory deductions.
Implement and improve accounting systems and financial controls.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
5 - 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
The ability to drive is an added advantage.
Must be resident in Abuja.
