 Job Title:  Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to oversee the company's financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory accounting, cost management, and financial operations within a warehousing, logistics, FMCG, or distribution environment.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts. Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly. Monitor inventory valuation and reconcile inventory records with warehouse stock reports. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory obligations. Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Monitor operating expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Collaborate with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate stock and financial records.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, preferably within a warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution company. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ACA) is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or similar ERP systems). Experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
