Job Title: Audit Officer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibitlies
Audit daily sales transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Reconcile sales records with invoices, receipts, and payments received.
Verify customer payments and ensure all payments are correctly posted.
Identify and investigate double postings, posting errors, and payment discrepancies.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Monitor stock movements, transfers, returns, damages, and shortages.
Audit warehouse operations and ensure proper documentation of stock transactions.
Review customer accounts and outstanding balances.
Verify credit sales and ensure proper authorization.
Audit purchases, expenses, and supplier invoices.
Ensure all expenses are properly authorized and supported with valid documents.
Monitor compliance with company policies and internal control procedures.
Investigate suspected fraud, financial losses, irregularities, and control breaches.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports for Management.
Report identified discrepancies promptly and follow up on corrective actions.
Conduct periodic checks on cash, POS, bank transfers, and other payment channels.
Ensure proper segregation of duties among Sales, Accounts, Warehouse, and other departments.
Maintain accurate records of all audit findings and investigations.
Recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and reduce business losses.
Perform any other audit-related duties assigned by Management.
QualificationsInterested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree with 2 - 3 years experience.
