We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Card Operations Officer to manage the end-to-end operations of the Bank's debit, prepaid, and other payment card services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless card issuance, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and compliance with regulatory and card scheme requirements. The ideal candidate must have 3–5 years of relevant experience in card operations within a fintech company or a digital bank, with a solid understanding of payment card systems, transaction monitoring, switching platforms, and settlement processes.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of debit, prepaid, and virtual cards, including card issuance, activation, replacement, renewal, blocking, and closure. Monitor daily card transactions to ensure successful processing across ATMs, POS terminals, web, and mobile channels. Perform daily settlement and reconciliation of card transactions with payment switches, settlement banks, and card schemes. Investigate and resolve card transaction exceptions, failed transactions, chargebacks, reversals, and customer disputes within agreed SLAs. Liaise with card processors, payment switches, card personalization vendors, and card scheme partners to resolve operational issues. Ensure timely processing of card maintenance requests and customer service tickets. Monitor card transaction performance and identify anomalies requiring immediate attention. Support the implementation of new card products and enhancements to existing card services. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS), and card schemes. Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Customer Experience, and Product teams to improve card service delivery. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new card products, system upgrades, and integrations. Ensure adherence to internal controls, operational policies, and information security standards.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines 3–5 years' experience in Card Operations within a fintech company, digital bank, payment service provider (PSP), switching company, or commercial bank. Hands-on experience managing card issuance, transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation. Experience working with digital payment products is highly desirable.

Card issuing and acquiring operations. Verve, Visa, and Mastercard card products. NIBSS Instant Payment (NIP) ecosystem. Payment switching processes. ATM, POS, E-commerce, and Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions. Card transaction settlement and reconciliation. Chargeback and dispute management processes. Card lifecycle management. Fraud monitoring and transaction monitoring systems. Card Management Systems (CMS). Payment gateways and digital payment infrastructure. Switching platforms such as Interswitch, Unified Payments (UP), or similar. Core banking applications. Microsoft Excel (Advanced), including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and reporting. SQL for querying transaction data (preferred). Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI (an advantage). User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies. Service Level Agreement (SLA) management.
