 Job Title: Finance & Accounts Executive

Location: New Oko Oba, Lagos

Reports To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer Job Purpose

The Finance & Accounts Executive is responsible for the overall financial management, accounting operations and financial reporting of the Group. The role safeguards the Group's financial resources, ensures statutory compliance, provides timely financial information for strategic decision-making and supports sustainable growth through sound financial planning, effective internal controls and prudent financial management.


Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

Manage the Group's accounting and financial operations. Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts and management accounts. Monitor revenue, expenditure, cash flow and profitability. Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.


Financial Reporting & Business Support:

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to Management. Support business planning, pricing decisions and investment evaluations. Provide financial information to facilitate strategic decision-making.


Treasury & Working Capital:

Manage cash flow, banking relationships and working capital. Monitor receivables, payables and payroll administration. Coordinate funding requests and support investment initiatives. Ensure efficient utilization of financial resources.


Financial Control & Compliance:

Maintain effective internal controls and financial policies. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and statutory requirements. Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting. Safeguard the Group's financial assets and accounting records.


Advisory & Governance:

Advise the Managing Director on financial performance, risks and investment opportunities. Monitor financial compliance across all business units. Promote financial discipline and cost optimization throughout the organisation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. Budget compliance and cost control. Cash flow adequacy. Accounts receivable collection. Profitability analysis. Statutory and tax compliance. Audit outcomes. Financial support to strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. ATS, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in accounting or financial management. Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Authority:

The Finance & Accounts Executive is authorized to maintain the Group's accounting records, prepare financial reports, monitor budgets, coordinate banking activities, recommend financial controls, and advise Executive Management on financial matters within delegated authority.


Strategic Role:

The Finance & Accounts Executive serves as the Group's principal financial adviser, providing independent financial oversight and strategic support to the Managing Director. The role works collaboratively with the General Manager and Business Managers to ensure financial discipline, improve business performance, support investment decisions, and achieve the Group's growth and profitability objectives.


Salary
