About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a rewarding career in finance.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
Prepare bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Prepare journals and maintain the general ledger.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes.
Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Support tax, pension, and other statutory remittance processes.
Assist with internal and external audit exercises.
Monitor petty cash and prepare reconciliation reports.
Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3–4years of relevant accounting experience.
Professional certification (ICAN ATS, ACA in view, ACCA in view, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
