Green Habitat Initiative (GHI) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and improved livelihoods across Nigeria. GHI designs and implements community-based initiatives that address climate change, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and green innovation. We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: Junior Finance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Contract Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily accounting and financial transactions. Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation. Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with bank reconciliations and basic account reconciliations. Support budget tracking and routine expense monitoring. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and documentation. Ensure proper filing of financial records and compliance documents. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to basic audit queries. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage. Completion of NYSC is required. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks is an added advantage. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting (including internships, NYSC, or entry-level roles). Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
