The ideal Junior Media Planner is curious, data-driven, and eager to build a career in media and advertising.  This role involves understanding the audience, their needs and preferred media and platforms, as well as the brands aiming to reach them. 


Job Description
Media Planning:

Assist in developing media plans aligned with clients' marketing and communication objectives.  Support the selection of appropriate media channels based on audience insights, campaign goals, and budgets.  Prepare media schedules, flowcharts, and planning documents.  Conduct research on media trends, competitors, and target audiences.  Building and maintaining relationships with clients, advertising platforms and media influencers.


Campaign Execution:

Work closely with Media Buying and Client Service teams to support campaign implementation.  Monitor campaign delivery to ensure activities are executed according to approved plans.  Assist in tracking campaign performance and identifying optimization opportunities.  Ensure campaign documentation and reports are accurate and up to date. 


Research & Analytics:

Gather and analyse audience, market, and media consumption data.  Support the preparation of campaign performance reports and presentations.  Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as impressions, reach, clicks, engagement, CTR, CPM, CPC, and conversions.  Provide insights that support media planning recommendations. 


Client Support:

Participate in client meetings and internal planning sessions.  Assist in preparing client presentations and campaign recommendations.  Respond promptly to client requests under the guidance of senior team members.  Build positive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. 


Collaboration:

Work closely with Client Service, Media Buying, Digital, Strategy, Creative, and Analytics teams.  Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet client expectations.  Maintain effective communication with internal teams throughout campaign lifecycles.

Job Qualifications

A Degree in any social science, humanities or related fields. 2 – 3 years experience. Experience in a media agency, advertising agency, or integrated marketing communications environment is preferred.
