Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods, equipment, materials, and services required for the efficient operation of the retail, hospitality, leisure, food and beverage, and administrative departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement procedures, policies, and approval processes.
Source reliable suppliers, vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Obtain and evaluate quotations, proposals, and supplier bids.
Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, delivery timelines, and service agreements.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure all purchases receive the necessary approvals.
Procure food items, beverages, retail products, maintenance materials, office supplies, equipment, and operational consumables.
Work closely with the hypermarket, waterpark, food and beverage, kitchen, maintenance, finance, and administrative teams.
Monitor supplier performance, product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, invoices, and purchase documentation.
Coordinate with inventory and store teams to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Prevent over-purchasing, shortages, wastage, and unauthorised purchases.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, and ethical standards.
Conduct regular market research to identify better products, prices, and suppliers.
Prepare procurement, cost-saving, supplier-performance, and expenditure reports for management.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory, retail, hospitality, construction, or facility operations.
Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, and purchase-order management.
Experience purchasing for a supermarket, hotel, restaurant, waterpark, mall, or mixed-use facility will be an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory systems, and procurement software.
Must be able to work effectively with multiple departments and meet tight procurement deadlines.
Experience in 4 star /5 star Hospitality industry is compulsory

Relevant experience in 4 - 5 star hospitality, retail, leisure, or mixed-use commercial facilities is compulsory.
