Job Title: Production / Bottling Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production/Bottling Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the bottling production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production staff, coordinating bottling activities, monitoring production equipment, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining product quality, reducing downtime and wastage, and ensuring strict compliance with company safety and operating procedures. The candidate must be willing and ready to relocate to Lekki Free Zone, Lagos. Company-provided accommodation will be available.
Supervise and coordinate all activities on the bottling production line. Lead and manage bottling-line operators, machine operators, packers, and other production staff. Allocate duties and responsibilities to production staff according to the production schedule. Ensure the bottling line operates efficiently and continuously during production hours. Monitor the operation of bottle blowing, rinsing, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging equipment. Ensure machines are properly set and operated according to approved production specifications. Monitor production output and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved. Monitor filling accuracy, bottle quality, cap sealing, labelling, and packaging standards. Carry out regular inspections of the bottling line to identify production problems and quality defects. Identify and report machine breakdowns, abnormal equipment performance, and other technical problems. Work closely with the Maintenance Department to resolve machine breakdowns and minimize downtime. Monitor and reduce product wastage, rejected bottles, damaged packaging materials, and production losses. Ensure proper use and handling of raw materials and packaging materials. Ensure production activities are carried out according to approved SOPs and work instructions. Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, wastage, rejects, and machine performance. Prepare and submit daily production reports to the Production Manager. Ensure proper shift handover and communication between production teams. Supervise line cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping activities. Ensure that the production area is maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Enforce the proper use of PPE and compliance with health and safety procedures. Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions in consultation with management. Train, coach, and evaluate bottling-line operators and other production personnel. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, productivity, and compliance with company policies. Assist with machine changeovers, start-up, shutdown, and production-line adjustments. Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities to improve line efficiency and productivity. Ensure finished products meet established quality specifications before release to the next stage. Report accidents, safety incidents, quality issues, and production abnormalities immediately to management. Perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager or Plant Manager.

Minimum of an OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or a related field. 3 - 5 years of experience in bottling, beverage, water, food, FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing operations. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a production or bottling environment is preferred. Proven experience supervising a bottling or production line. Good knowledge of bottle blowing, rinsing, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging processes. Good understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes. Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic machine and production-line problems. Strong knowledge of quality control, hygiene, GMP, and workplace safety procedures. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Good communication and reporting skills. Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets. Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.

PET bottle blowing machines Bottle rinsing machines Automatic and semi-automatic filling machines Capping machines Labelling machines Shrink-wrapping machines Packaging machines Conveyor systems Water bottling lines Beverage bottling lines Liquid filling lines. Experience with equipment from Sidel, Krones, KHS, SIPA, Tech-Long, Nissei ASB, or similar manufacturers is an added advantage.

The position is based at Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, Nigeria. The role requires regular presence on the production floor. The successful candidate may be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime depending on production requirements. The position involves working around industrial machinery and production equipment. Strict compliance with company health, safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements is mandatory.
