Job Title: Production / Filling Line Supervisor
Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos

We are seeking an experienced and highly responsible Production/Filling Line Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of the production and filling line. The successful candidate will supervise production operators, monitor filling and packaging equipment, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain product quality and safety standards, and minimise machine downtime and production losses. The candidate must be willing and ready to relocate to Lekki Free Zone, Lagos. Company-provided accommodation will be available.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production and filling-line operators. Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the filling, capping, labelling, packaging, and associated production equipment. Plan and allocate duties to operators according to the daily production schedule. Monitor production output and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved. Monitor the performance of filling machines and other production-line equipment. Ensure correct machine settings and operating parameters are maintained. Monitor filling accuracy, bottle quality, capping, labelling, sealing, and packaging. Conduct regular inspections of the production line to identify defects, abnormalities, and potential problems. Work closely with the Maintenance Team to resolve machine breakdowns and reduce downtime. Identify causes of production delays, wastage, rejects, and line inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Ensure proper handling of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and production equipment. Ensure all production activities comply with company quality, hygiene, health, and safety standards. Carry out routine production and quality checks and ensure proper documentation. Review production records, machine downtime reports, wastage reports, and output records. Prepare and submit daily production reports to the Production Manager. Ensure operators follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Train, coach, and supervise production operators to improve performance and productivity. Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the production area. Enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Immediately report safety incidents, equipment faults, quality issues, and other production challenges to management. Coordinate shift handovers and ensure accurate communication between production teams. Assist with production planning, line changeovers, machine adjustments, and start-up/shutdown procedures. Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure machines are properly maintained. Monitor production costs and minimise unnecessary material and product wastage. Perform other production-related duties assigned by the Production Manager or Plant Manager.

Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in production or filling-line supervision. Experience in a bottling, water, beverage, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing company is highly desirable. Proven experience supervising production operators and managing a production line. Good knowledge of filling, capping, labelling, packaging, and production-line processes. Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and workplace safety. Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production-line problems. Ability to monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement. Good knowledge of SOPs, GMP, health and safety procedures, and quality standards. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.

Working Conditions
The position is based at Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing/production environment. The role may require shift work, weekends, public holidays, and overtime depending on production requirements. The position requires regular presence on the production floor and may involve standing for extended periods. The candidate must be willing to work around production machinery and equipment while observing all safety requirements. Company-provided accommodation will be available.
