Job Duties


Program Implementation Support: Aid in the conceptualization, coordination, and execution of CIVIC's initiatives in conflict-affected areas.
Monitoring and Reporting: Team up with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) officer to gather data, document program activities, and offer real-time feedback on outcomes to ensure goal attainment.
Community Liaison Assistance: Coordinate with Community Liaisons across the BAY states to ensure timely implementation of activities and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Local Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the Community Engagement Manager in managing and interacting with local partners and government agencies to improve program outcomes and safeguard civilians.
Assessment Support: Collaborate with the M&E team in conducting surveys during research, impact assessments, or evaluations related to civilian protection, military engagement, and conflict analysis to bolster advocacy efforts.
Logistical Support: Work alongside the operations team to ensure smooth planning and coordination of program activities, including organizing events, meetings, and other logistics for field operations.
Program Targets Tracking: Collaborate with MEL officers to ensure project targets are being monitored and implemented as outlined in the project documentation.


Scope of Work



The Associate Will Be Accountable For


Organizing the execution of program activities, including initiating resource requests, drafting activity Terms of Reference, and obtaining necessary approvals from the Team Lead.
Communicating weekly with the MEL officer regarding completed activities and achieved target milestones.
Providing insightful feedback from field activities to the Team Lead, along with recommendations when applicable.
Contributing to program design processes by sharing relevant contextual knowledge that addresses observed civilian protection needs during daily operations.
Fulfilling any other assigned programmatic support roles.


Requirements

Skills and Experience:


Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in any Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences discipline
Minimum 2 years of relevant full-time work experience with an NGO
Proven strong work ethic
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient written and oral communication skills (English). Hausa and Kanuri language skills highly desired.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated people management abilities
Capacity to plan and prioritize workload effectively
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
Aptitude for working in a multicultural environment and engaging with individuals at all levels
Enthusiasm for CIVIC's mission and willingness to embrace the responsibilities and duties as a crucial team member
