 Job Title: Financial Due Diligence Consultant

Location: Lagos Objective

To conduct a comprehensive review of the company's financial position, historical performance, financial controls, asset base, liabilities, cash flows, and financial sustainability to support restructuring decisions.


Key Responsibilities
Financial Statement Review:

Review audited and management accounts for the previous 5-10 years. Assess the quality and reliability of financial information. Evaluate financial reporting standards and IFRS compliance. Verify revenue recognition practices.


Financial Analysis:

Analyze profitability, liquidity, solvency, and efficiency ratios. Assess working capital management. Review debt structure and financing arrangements. Identify trends in operating and capital expenditures.


Asset and Liability Verification:

Verify major assets and investments. Review contingent liabilities and commitments. Assess impairment risks.


Internal Controls Review:

Assess adequacy of financial controls. Identify weaknesses and fraud risks. Recommend control improvements. Deliverables Financial Due Diligence Report. Earnings Quality Assessment. Financial Risk Register. Cost Optimization Opportunities. Financial Restructuring Recommendations.

Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent). Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial due diligence. Oil and gas industry experience preferred. Strong IFRS and financial modelling expertise.
