Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to manage the organization's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory regulations, and support sound financial decision-making.
The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience in financial management.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
Process payments, invoices, receipts, and journal entries in a timely manner.
Monitor cash flow and ensure effective treasury management.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and other regulatory obligations.
Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
Monitor expenditure to ensure compliance with approved budgets and company policies.
Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee asset accounting.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and financial objectives.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems).
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
