 Job Title: Instrument Maintenance Technician I

Location: Akwa Ibom Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Instrument Maintenance Technician I to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support instrument and control systems in a processing or offshore production environment.


Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute instrument maintenance activities in line with applicable standards, procedures, and HSE requirements. Ensure timely and quality completion of scheduled maintenance activities. Apply the Permit to Work System (PTWS) and maintain compliance with safe work practices. Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument and control systems. Review control specifications and work practices. Support effective coordination between Operations, Engineering, and Projects teams. Develop and maintain technical knowledge of equipment, regulations, methods, and procedures. Support work prioritization and effective coordination with other work groups. Initiate and follow up on Management of Change (MOC) requests relating to control equipment and installations. Monitor and inspect new installations and recommend upgrades where necessary. Provide technical guidance to other Instrument Technicians and act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead when required.


Requirements

Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent high school education, preferably with relevant technical training. Experience maintaining Instrumentation and Control systems in a processing plant or offshore production facility. Familiarity with regulations applicable to Oil & Gas facilities, relevant operating systems, manuals, and procedures. Relevant safety, administrative, and technical training. Good computer skills. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good communication, organization, and reporting skills. Strong attention to detail and safety orientation.
