Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC professional to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across the organization’s FMCG operations
The successful candidate will ensure that raw materials, production processes, finished products, and operational practices consistently meet approved quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and procedures.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved quality standards and specifications.
Inspect and approve incoming raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
Conduct regular quality inspections, sampling, testing, and analysis in line with established procedures.
Identify, investigate, and document product and process non-conformities.
Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, testing results, deviations, and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, R&D, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues.
Coordinate internal quality audits and support external and regulatory audits.
Monitor supplier quality and participate in supplier evaluation and approval processes.
Develop and review SOPs, quality manuals, inspection checklists, and other quality documentation.
Train employees on quality standards, GMP, hygiene, food safety, and quality procedures.
Track quality KPIs and prepare regular reports for management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, waste, customer complaints, and quality-related costs.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
5–7 years of relevant QA/QC experience within the FMCG, food, beverage, or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, GMP, HACCP, and food safety principles.
Familiarity with relevant Nigerian regulatory and industry standards.
Experience in quality inspections, product testing, audits, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and reporting skills.
Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Professional certification in quality, food safety, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
