We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Driver
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Patient & Staff Transportation:Transport patients for referrals.
Convey doctors, nurses, management, and other staff for official duties, outreaches, and trainings
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Perform daily pre-trip checks: fuel, oil, coolant, brakes, tires, lights, and cleanliness
Ensure ambulance/basic life support equipment is available and in working order if assigned an ambulance
Report faults promptly and ensure timely servicing.
Maintain vehicle documents: insurance, road worthiness, driver’s license
Adhere strictly to traffic laws, hospital safety policies, and infection control protocols
Keep vehicle clean and disinfected, especially after transporting patients
Documentation & Compliance:Maintain accurate trip logbook: date, time, destination, mileage, fuel, passengers, and purpose
Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA/Hospital data protection at all
Report accidents, breakdowns, or incidents to Admin/Transport Officer immediately
Support emergency/on-call duties as rostered.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum SSCE / O’Level certificate
License: Valid Driver’s License. Defensive driving training is an advantage
Experience: 6-8 years professional driving experience. Hospital/ambulance driving experience preferred
Skills:Excellent knowledge of Lagos routes and traffic patterns
Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
First Aid training is an added advantage
Good communication, patience, and customer service skills
Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and emergency calls.
