About the Role
The Head of Medical Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for the medical operations function at Oceanic Health Management Limited, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and member-centered healthcare services.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for medical operations.
Oversee the delivery and quality of medical services to members.
Lead medical utilization management and clinical oversight activities.
Establish and monitor clinical and operational standards.
Work closely with provider networks to improve quality and service delivery.
Review and monitor clinical trends, utilization patterns, and medical costs.
Provide clinical guidance on complex medical cases and operational issues.
Collaborate with executive management and other departments on medical strategy.
Drive continuous improvement in clinical quality and member outcomes.
Ensure medical operations comply with applicable regulatory, professional, and organizational standards.
Lead, coach, and develop the medical operations team.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a Medical Doctor with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Valid registration and license to practice in Nigeria.
Relevant post-qualification experience in healthcare management, HMO operations, or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
Required Competencies:Strong clinical and healthcare-management expertise.
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
Understanding of managed healthcare and health insurance operations.
Strong analytical and strategic-thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
