We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Hotel Internal Auditor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of all hotel income and expenses.
Monitor daily sales, revenue, cash collections, POS transactions, and bank deposits.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
Reconcile cash, bank accounts, POS, and other payment channels.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payroll and ensure accurate salary calculations.
Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
Control hotel expenses and identify areas of unnecessary spending.
Monitor stock, purchases, and inventory costs.
Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
Prepare financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and accounting requirements.
Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, and management when necessary.
Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Detect and report financial irregularities, fraud, or discrepancies.
Qualifications Required
B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an added advantage.
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Experience with hotel / POS systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
