Job Summary
Hilton Garden Hotel, Nsukka, Enugu, is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join its team and oversee the hotel’s financial operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial statements.
Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and daily financial activities.
Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, receivables, and payables.
Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
Monitor hotel income and expenses and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
Prepare and monitor budgets and provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax, statutory, and accounting requirements.
Conduct periodic stock and inventory reconciliations and investigate variances.
Support payroll processing and ensure accurate accounting for staff-related costs.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Liaise with auditors, banks, vendors, and relevant regulatory authorities when required.
RequirementsPossess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least 2 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
