 Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports To: HR Operations Manager About the Role

We are looking for a smart, proactive, and strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team in Lagos. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of recruitment, talent sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and proper HR documentation. The primary focus of this role will be to identify and source qualified talents, build a strong talent pipeline, coordinate recruitment processes, and ensure proper and accurate recruitment documentation. The successful candidate should be able to think beyond simply posting vacancies and should understand how to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for different roles and locations.


Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies based on the company's current and future manpower needs. Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, referrals, recruitment agencies, social media, career fairs, and other appropriate channels. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and anticipated vacancies. Review CVs and applications and shortlist candidates based on job requirements. Conduct initial screening interviews and assess candidates for suitability. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, competencies, and candidate profiles. Recommend appropriate sourcing channels and recruitment approaches for different positions. Maintain an updated recruitment tracker showing vacancies, candidates, interview stages, and recruitment status. Ensure all recruitment records and candidate documentation are properly maintained and easily accessible. Maintain accurate and confidential candidate databases and talent pools. Prepare recruitment reports and provide regular updates on recruitment activities and hiring progress. Support the preparation and review of Job Descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect business requirements. Coordinate reference checks, background verification, and other pre-employment processes where applicable. Support offer preparation and successful candidates' transition into the onboarding process. Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality, and hiring conversion rates. Develop innovative approaches to attract high-quality candidates, particularly for difficult-to-fill positions. Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Ensure recruitment activities are conducted in line with company policies and applicable employment regulations. Perform other HR and talent acquisition duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Performance will be measured based on:

Quality and suitability of candidates sourced. Number of qualified candidates added to the talent pipeline. Time-to-fill vacancies. Effectiveness of sourcing channels. Candidate conversion and interview-to-hire ratio. Accuracy and completeness of recruitment documentation. Timeliness of recruitment reports and updates.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field. Must currently reside in Lagos. 2 - 4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition,  Recruitment, HR, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent sourcing techniques. Demonstrated ability to source candidates independently across multiple platforms. Good understanding of recruitment strategy and workforce planning. Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills. Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and recruitment tools.


Salary
