Job Summary
We are seeking a Battery Engineer to support the design, testing, validation, and optimisation of lithium-ion battery packs and Battery Management Systems (BMS) for our solar-powered refrigeration and energy solutions
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with battery technologies, product development, and system integration.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimise lithium-ion battery packs.
Support the development, testing, and troubleshooting of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Conduct battery performance, cycle life, thermal, and safety testing.
Analyze test data and recommend performance improvements.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and product engineering teams on battery integration.
Support manufacturing, quality control, and continuous product improvement.
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and engineering specifications.
Ensure compliance with battery safety standards and engineering best practices.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
2 - 3 years' experience with lithium-ion battery systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, battery pack design, thermal management, and battery safety.
Experience with battery testing, validation, and performance analysis.
Familiarity with DC power systems, solar energy systems, or energy storage solutions.
Knowledge of CAN Bus, UART, or Modbus communication protocols is an advantage.
Proficiency in CAD or other engineering design tools is desirable.
