Job Title: Head, Marketing & Partnerships

Location: Eti-Osa, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time Job Description

The Head, Marketing & Partnerships will be responsible for developing and executing the Bank's marketing, business development, and partnership strategies to drive customer acquisition, deposit mobilization, revenue growth, brand visibility, and market penetration. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that strengthen the Bank's market position, build strategic relationships, and support the achievement of business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Marketing Strategy and Brand Management:

Develop and implement the Bank's marketing and communications strategy aligned with business objectives. Drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and market positioning initiatives. Manage and protect the Bank's brand identity across all communication channels. Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches. Ensure consistency of messaging across digital and traditional marketing platforms.


Business Development and Customer Acquisition:

Develop initiatives to drive customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth. Lead deposit mobilization and customer growth strategies. Identify new market opportunities and growth segments. Develop and execute strategies to increase product adoption and cross-selling opportunities. Collaborate with business units to support revenue generation objectives.


Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:

Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that support the Bank's growth objectives. Build relationships with fintechs, corporates, associations, institutions, government agencies, and community organizations. Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and collaborative initiatives. Explore opportunities for co-branded products, financial inclusion programs, and ecosystem partnerships. Monitor partnership performance and ensure value realization.


Digital Marketing and Customer Engagement:

Lead digital marketing initiatives across social media, email marketing, content marketing, and online advertising channels. Monitor customer engagement metrics and campaign performance. Drive customer education and financial literacy initiatives. Leverage digital channels to improve brand awareness and customer acquisition outcomes. Support digital banking adoption and customer onboarding initiatives.


Market Research and Competitive Intelligence:

Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities. Monitor competitor activities and industry developments. Generate insights to support product development, pricing strategies, and business decisions. Recommend innovative approaches to strengthen market competitiveness.


Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Product, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives. Represent the Bank at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking engagements. Manage relationships with marketing agencies, vendors, and service providers.


Performance Management and Reporting:

Develop and track key marketing and partnership performance metrics. Prepare periodic reports on campaign performance, partnership outcomes, customer growth, and return on investment. Manage the department's budget and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Continuously evaluate and optimize marketing and partnership strategies.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Banking & Finance, or a related field. Master's Degree or MBA will be an added advantage. 7–10 years' experience in Marketing, Business Development, Partnerships, Sales, or Customer Acquisition within the financial services sector. At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proven track record of driving business growth, customer acquisition, and partnership development. Experience within Banking, Microfinance, Fintech, Digital financial services, or related industries is highly preferred.


Professional Certifications:

Possession of relevant certifications will be an added advantage, including: Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)
