Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Employment Type: Full-time Key Deliverables

To support the Human Resources Manager in the effective delivery of the overall L&D strategy. The post holder will identify development needs, design, create, and deliver solutions across the organization at every level, including online learning. Responsible for setting clear points of evaluation and able to demonstrate the degree of success achieved for all L&D interventions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Training design, scheduling, and coordination. Consult and partner with line managers/heads of department to incorporate operational/functional requirements and implement training needs assessments (TNA). Support in designing and revalidating the Competency matrix for all roles/units Develop and manage evaluation methods and reporting metrics to support the measurement of programme effectiveness. Build and sustain relationships with training providers and accreditation bodies to deliver effective training activities to the business. Drive employee/self-paced learning on the Learning Management System (LMS) and track usage to ensure value. Monitor training & development costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation. To design needed training and other learning projects with the performance objectives in mind. Execute/facilitate needed training and other learning projects. Maintain an effective relationship with ITF on annual training plans and ensure full annual reimbursements. Evaluate training outcomes and generate weekly and monthly L&D reports. Coordinating Competency management procedures across business units. Implement routine performance audits across the business units. Support the implementation of appropriate employee learning and development needs that align with current and future performance standards and manage its delivery. Provide HR advisory and coaching to Line management and employees on L&D matters when appropriate. Prepare and administer the approved annual training plan. Support annual training reimbursement with ITF. Any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Comply with occupational health, safety, quality and environmental policies, processes and procedures and applicable laws/legal requirements across the Oilserv business. Take responsibility for their health & safety and those of stakeholders across the Oilserv business.

Requirements and Qualifications (Skills, Experience, and Knowledge)

BSc in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Social Sciences. Membership of either CIPM, CIPD or SHRM. Minimum of eight (8) years cumulative cognate experience in a Learning & Development role. Knowledge of Competency & Performance Management. Experience in the oil and gas industry is an added advantage. Ability to communicate at all levels. Excellent organizational/time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
