 Job Title: Technician

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join the Technical Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, a safety-first mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure reliable and efficient energy solutions for customers.


Key Responsibilities

Install and commission solar PV systems, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and associated electrical components. Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine installation requirements and system feasibility. Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in solar systems, electrical wiring, inverters, batteries, and other equipment. Repair or replace defective components and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. Conduct system testing and performance verification after installation or maintenance. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Ensure all installations comply with company standards, electrical regulations, and health & safety requirements. Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and installation documentation. Provide customers with basic training on system operation and maintenance. Collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery. Maintain tools, equipment, and  work vehicles in good condition. Travel to customer locations for installation, maintenance, and emergency service calls as required.


Qualifications

OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Technical certifications in solar installation or electrical systems are an added advantage.  2–5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation and maintenance. Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial solar power systems is preferred.
