Responsibilties
Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing menu items (meats, vegetables, sauces) and cooking them using various methods (grilling, baking, frying) while maintaining quality standards.
Station Management: Setting up, maintaining, and closing down workstations, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, tools, and equipment.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Following health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP), monitoring food temperatures, handling, dating, and labeling food to prevent contamination.
Inventory & Stock Control: Monitoring ingredient stock levels, reporting shortages to the chef, and rotating stock to reduce waste.
Plating & Service: Ensuring food is served promptly, hot, and presented attractively according to hotel standards.
Collaboration: Working with the kitchen team to coordinate orders and assisting other staff when required.
Dietary Accommodations: Adapting recipes and preparing specialized dishes to meet customer dietary needs or allergy requests.
Make cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and plated desserts using exact recipes.
