Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician – Injection & Blow Moulding Machines Recruitmentsoftware

Employment Type: Full-time Description
We are seeking an experienced and technically competent Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing of the electrical and control systems of injection moulding and blow moulding machines.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on injection moulding and blow moulding machines. Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance to minimize machine downtime. Troubleshoot and repair control panels, PLC systems, servo systems, drives, power supplies, sensors, motors, relays, contactors, transformers, and circuit boards. Identify and rectify electrical faults affecting machine operation, heating, temperature control, motor movement, hydraulics, and automation systems. Troubleshoot electrical and control faults on Haitian injection moulding machines and hydraulic/automatic blow moulding machines. Inspect and maintain machine wiring, cables, terminals, switches, breakers, fuses, and electrical connections. Diagnose faults in heating systems, thermocouples, temperature controllers, heaters, solenoid valves, proximity sensors, limit switches, and pressure/position sensors. Assist in troubleshooting machine faults involving the interaction between electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Conduct routine inspection of electrical components and identify potential failures before they result in production downtime. Perform machine electrical installations, modifications, rewiring, and component replacements when required. Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and machine manuals. Use appropriate electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic equipment. Maintain accurate records of electrical faults, repairs, spare parts used, and maintenance activities. Work closely with mechanical maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and operators to resolve machine breakdowns promptly. Ensure all electrical maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and industrial electrical safety standards. Participate in machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and upgrade projects. Provide technical recommendations on recurring electrical faults and ways to improve machine reliability and efficiency. Respond promptly to emergency machine breakdowns and support production in minimizing downtime. Maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools, electrical components, and work areas are properly organized.
Required Qualifications & Experience
OND, HND, B.Eng., or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably within a plastic manufacturing or similar production environment. Proven hands-on experience maintaining injection moulding and blow moulding machines. Experience working with Haitian injection moulding machines will be a strong advantage. Practical knowledge of industrial automation, electrical control systems, and machine instrumentation. Ability to diagnose faults systematically and work effectively under production pressure. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and machine control schematics. Good understanding of electrical safety procedures, machine isolation, and lockout/tagout practices.
