 Job Title: IT / Data Analyst

Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities for IT


Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

Providing first-line support: Answering user questions and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving problems with computer systems, applications, and peripherals. Installing and configuring: Setting up new hardware and software, including operating systems and applications. Maintaining systems: Ensuring computer systems and networks are functioning correctly, including updates, patches, and security protocols.

User Management & Support:

Account management: Creating and managing user accounts, setting permissions, and managing access to systems and resources. User training: Providing guidance and training to users on how to use IT systems and applications. Communication: Communicating with users to understand their needs and ensure their issues are resolved.


Other Responsibilities:

Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Inventory management: Tracking and managing IT inventory, including hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities for Data Analyst


Data Collection & Preparation:

Collect data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare, clean, and structure data for analysis, including performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.


Data Analysis & Data Mining:

Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support business objectives. Apply data mining techniques to extract valuable information that will drive decision-making.


Data Visualization & Reporting:

Create visually engaging dashboards and reports using data visualization tools. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports that communicate key insights to stakeholders.


Modeling & Forecasting:

Develop predictive models to identify trends and forecast outcomes based on historical data. Support strategic planning by creating models for demand forecasting, inventory management, and customer behavior analysis.


Documentation & System Design:

Document processes, methodologies, and insights in a structured manner. Design and maintain data templates and systems to streamline data handling processes and improve reporting efficiency.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in data-driven recommendations.


Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer  Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field. Minimumof 3 years proven experienceas a Data Analyst, preferably in an FMCG or distribution environment. Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis techniques. Excellent communication skills with a knack for explaining complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Technical: Data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis. Software: Proficiency with SQL, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau, and Excel. Analytical: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Communication: Ability to communicate data insights clearly and effectively. Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. Project support: Assisting with the implementation of IT projects and upgrades. Administrative tasks: May include tasks like data entry, record keeping, and other general administrative duties. Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networks. Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service to users. Organization: Ability to manage tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records.
