Quality Control Manager for Wet Condiment located in Ijoko, Sango Ota, Ogun

Job Title: Quality Control Manager - Wet Condiment

Location: Ijoko, Sango Ota - Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Accountabilities

• Oversee daily quality control activities across the wet condiment plant.
• Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems by establishing policies and procedures to maintain high quality standards across the wet condiment section.
• Ensure adherence to product specifications and regulatory standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations.
• Supervise and mentor Quality Shift Supervisors and Analysts.
• Conduct regular training and performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other relevant standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to enhance product quality.
• Address customer complaints related to product quality.
• Implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Coordinate the collection and analysis of quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate and synergize across departments such as engineering and production to address quality concerns and improve processes.
• Provide training and mentorship to quality assurance team members to ensure consistent performance and understanding of quality protocols.
• Ensure compliance to Good Laboratory Practices and 5S principle.
• Ensure compliance to EHS guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure only Products that meets customer expectations and satisfy regulatory requirements are released to trade.
• Perform all other task as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in quality control within the food manufacturing industry specifically in Mayonnaise production.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC, etc.).
• Experience with laboratory testing methods and equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.

Salary
N500,000 - N850,000 monthly.
