R&D Manager

The R&D Manager will lead the research and development initiatives of the company by overseeing the design, testing, and implementation of new products and improvements to existing ones. This role plays a critical part in driving innovation, ensuring product quality, reducing cost, and maintaining competitiveness in the market.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement R&D strategies in alignment with the company\'s goals.
Lead product innovation and improvement projects from concept to launch.
Supervise and support the R&D team in conducting research, product trials, and testing.
Analyze industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with production, quality, and marketing teams to ensure product feasibility and market relevance.
Ensure all new products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Manage the R&D budget, timelines, and resource allocation efficiently.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all R&D processes and outcomes.
Liaise with external research bodies, suppliers, and technology partners where necessary.
Report R&D progress and outcomes to senior management regularly.


Job Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:


B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Product Development, or related fields.
Additional certifications in Project Management or Innovation Management are an advantage.


Experience:


Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in product development or R&D within a manufacturing environment.
At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.


Skills & Competencies:


Strong background in research, product design, and development processes.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into practical solutions.
Proficiency in using data analysis tools and R&D software.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
